Meet David Stelzig

After a tour in the U.S. navy, Stelzig returned to school, earned a PhD in chemistry, and spent a couple pleasant decades on the faculty of WV University. He rose to the rank of full professor and Chairman of Agricultural Biochemistry. However, he took early retirement when biological research morphed into molecular biology/genetics (Yes, an exciting new world but not his cup of tea).

Stelzig chose art as a second career, opening Appalachian Gallery in downtown Morgantown. Custom framing brought in the money, but displaying and marketing the art of WV citizens was an important aspect of the business.

Proceeds from the sale of both building and business allowed Stelzig to pursue his present career: writing. Mostly mysteries, both long and short.
